Orthodox Catechism
We have scheduled Orthodox Catechism classes on Tuesday evenings. Catechism derives from the Greek word κατήχησις, which means “instruction by word of mouth.”

Catechumens participate in these classes to prepare for their Baptism into the Orthodox Church. Inquirers interested in learning about the Orthodox Christian also attend.

These Catechism classes also serve as “continuing education” for many of the faithful no matter how long they have been in the Orthodox Church. Both those born into the Church and those who are converts to Orthodox Christianity can benefit from these classes.

Discussing and Discovering Orthodoxy – Bible Study
It has been our custom for many years to meet on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Thursdays of most months at 6:00 pm to “Discover” and “Discuss” Orthodox Christianity.

We typically do not meet on the 3rd Thursday evenings of the month because that is normally when our monthly Parish Council meets.

Topics have varied from season to season. We have had Bible Studies, Book Readings, and General Orthodoxy Discussions.

Our “Discovering and Discussing Orthodox” classes meet both on Zoom as well as in person at Four Winds Coffee and Tea, 1235 Bookcliff Avenue, across from CMU (on the corner of 12th Street and Bookcliff Avenue).
